Papaya Dog: Irresistibly Tasty Hot Dogs and Comfort Food in NYC

$3.49 for a hot dog. Very famous place, small place. Very classic flavors but delicious. From the moment you stand in line, maybe 2 minutes you get it, then 30 seconds later you're done and you take another 2 to go because it's so nice. I wouldn't come here especially, but if I pass by the area again, I'll pop in for a hot dog.

Went 5/19/25 for a quick hot dog with a guest from Wales. We had a quick bite and the hot dog was precooked and just heated a little. Had red onions on top and for $3.80 with tax we really enjoyed it especially since it was Freya’s first American hot dog. Staff was kind and quick and it was a fun snack stop!

5 stars because of the price, you get a classic new-York hot dog for $3,49, the service is fast. That’s all I asked for. The service was fast and there is space indoor if you want to be seated

I'd been wanting to visit for months, and the food delivered. The crew made our dining experience memorable. The restaurant's look is upscale yet inviting. The cooking delivers on taste and portion size. I'm pleased with this restaurant. I'll return for their complete menu.

Place to get a quick bite. I asked for some modifications to my meal and they made the appropriate accommodations. The fish sandwich was solid (good balance of fish lettuce tomato) and bread. The potato knish was decently toasted.

Much respect to my dudes that work at papaya dog that always have shown me love for years. They have to deal with a lot, especially on the weekends late at night. It's a lot of drunk, demanding, ingnorant people. So, I know it's not easy. These guys always take care of me, and we always talk. Especially coming from work, I usually get my chicken sandwich and a hot sausage, which is always good. So keep it up, my guys, and I always appreciate the love.
